Students are grouped loosely by year level, with students moving to other unit classes depending on their developmental and achievement level in individual subjects. In addition, unit students access specialist learning areas such as Performing Arts, Technology, PE and Home Economics.
Teachers from our mainstream classes work hand-in-hand with our unit teachers to provide enriched learning programs that allow students to feel engaged and included in the school community.
Our students take part in a rich offering of co-curricular activities aimed at developing their independence and life skills.
The Unit achieves success by delivering a creative, innovative and dynamic curriculum that focuses on students abilities, interests and post-school goals. Our curriculum is underpinned by each student’s individual SMARTAR Goals which are reviewed each term with formal meetings in term 1 and 3 of each year.
